If you like MSG, this is the restaurant to go to. Each dish they must add a least a cupful of MSG.
Lots of items to choose from on the buffet. Service was good (waiters and waitresses were nice) and the food were really delicious. When I saw the #1 Best Buffet Best of the City award on the front counter, I couldn't agree more! Will be trying their hot pot soon! Recommend for buffet lovers!
Fantastic food especially for the price. Great background music also. Not the so called music (noise)at some other places. I give it 5 stars.
... and I am very fussy ... This $10 lunch buffet is a STEAL when compared to similar quality food at the Chemanius Theatre Buffet. I do NOT know the owner, am NOT the owner or a relative. I have NO association with anyone that works there.
My wife dragged me there against my wishes a couple of months ago... Neither of us were impressed at all, from the lukewarm greasy veggies to the tasteless desserts. We both had upset stomachs that night too. Just read their latest food facility inspection and they were actually shut down by VIHA for unsanitary conditions for a day or two at the end of December... You have been warned..
My wife and I used to go to the Esquimalt Plaza establishment pretty much every week but ever since that store closed we have been going to the Cloverdale establishment but because of driving distance and traffic, we only have gone a few times. I thought that tonight it would be a great idea to have some chinese food. Well, I don't know what happen between months ago and tonight but the food was the most discusting I have ever experienced in my whole life. The Wonton soup had raw meat in it and after I discussed the issue with the staff, they tried to make me believe that it was well cooked. I know raw meat and I make my own wontons at home and when I cook them they are not pink like raw pork meat which I witnessed in there. The other food choice from the buffet table were all dried inside the pans and you had to scrap it off the bottom of the serving trays. Raymonds staff didn't try to help by serving us fresh cooked food after we complain, instead they appologized telling use that it was left overs from lunch and the dinner buffet wouldn't be served until later. The staff should have said something to us before we sat down for dinner. Before tonight, I have never experienced a restaurant serving left over lunch food pass 430PM. All that food sat there for hours and was consumed by other customers that had no idea what they were having in there plates. It is really sad that this establishment is still running. Tomorrow, I am going to complain to the food/health and I hope they close them down.
their service is excellent I would say . By the way , do u still need labourer ?
At one time this was not a bad place to eat.We will never be back.We arrived for the lunch buffet at 1:15.Half the food was gone and no attempt to refill. There was little veg. dish no calamari or fried chicken. The food was cold to top it off plus they charged us full price!
My husband, sister in law and I had lunch at Raymonds today. When we came to pay my sister in law asked if there was a seniors rate. the lady at the til said Yes, but the transaction has already gone through. I was appalled. First, it is very evident we are seniors and the proper thing to do would be to offer it to us. Secondly, it was a I dont care attitude. I am not going to change the transaction now.
Will vent my disappointment on trip advisor and the Victoria Tourism website.
